Happy President's Day: We Worked on Sheetrock!

Happy President's Day!  A year ago this weekend we moved into our concrete home...it's our houseaversary! One year!  It has flown by and we have loved being here.

It's a holiday so we are working.  For the majority of the weekend we worked on the garage.  Little by little we have worked on the insulation.  Brent, on the advice of a friend, is lining the garage with a solar eco liner designed to keep heat out in the summer and retain warmth in the winter.  (So that's the silver lining that you see in the pictures). Brent's goal was to get half of the garage sheet rock up by the end of the three day weekend and we made it!  We will mud and tape and paint before we start on the second half of the garage...

Another goal this weekend was to dig a hole under the sidewalk for a storm drain pipe (to accommodate the roof run-off). We cheered when we finally got the pipe through.  Sierra spent time digging the trench a little deeper and longer.  Next phase on the yard is to get that final grade we never had and start the sprinklers.  (Notice the flag posted by our scouts...proof that we do work on holidays....)
