Brent and I worked with Darren at Envision Land Design to come up with our landscape plan....which we will begin to tackle this spring. It will be beautiful but now it's up to us! We have a lovely corner vegetable garden, inviting front, wonderful back patio area and a fantastic space between the house and garage. I am really excited about the space between the garage and the house. It had perplexed us for a very long time. Brent had some good ideas and coupled with Darren's help it's on track! Brent is going to build big rusted steel planter boxes which will also serve as retaining walls. It's going to be good looking!
Our plans are taped on our "wish wall" in the kitchen. Months ago I blocked out where I envision the kitchen desk and cabinets. We have to save up for it! It's ok, I'm patient....
We promised the kidlettes a great trip when we finished the house! A week after Christmas we delivered: trip to California and Maui! We visited my sister Camille who just moved to CA from Virginia Beach that very week...she had just started unpacking (spent a day at California Adventure too). We stayed with Brent's brother Bob and his darling family on Maui, they were such generous hosts! It was bliss! Fun filled and so WONDERFUL to be with family!
Now back to work on Our Concrete Home! We are getting so close (but there will always be a project!).
