DAY 99: Blocks after blocks after blocks

Saturday has always been known as "work day" at our house.  Estee often asks "is it work day?" instead of asking if it's Saturday (I'm not sure she realizes that it's the same day).  We had a good work day last Saturday.  Swept the basement and cleaned-up after the framing, burned wood scraps on our awesome bonfire, picked up trash and more trash, knocked down the pegs poking out of the garage foundation and finally, hauled 25 "boxes" of styrofoam forms up to the main floor.

Brent and I hauled all the "boxes" to the two boards, pushed them up and the girls pulled them "on deck" and lined up all 25 boxes.  We were proud of their hard work--they were AWESOME! (Estee sat in the car because her feet were too cold....)

This is the garage as of today:

Sierra pounding off the pegs from the foundation.  Cole was working on this too.  That's a lot of pegs.

Our wonderful friends, Donna and Emily brought us hot chocolate and marshmallows.  It was so kind and the girls loved the treat on a cold January Saturday.

While Donna and Emily were visiting Estee said that her feet were freezing.  I couldn't figure out why since I had asked all the kids to wear double socks in their boots.  "I forgot to put on socks!"  She ended up with a pair of my socks and sat in the car for an hour warming up her feet.  Funny kid!
